The feed for what's actually happening near you.
Function is the events platform built for what existing apps overlook — house parties, car meets, networking nights, meet‑and‑greets, and the long tail of community events. Paid tickets, free tickets, or open RSVPs.
AI Edition
Ticket #F-04829
Big ticketing apps chase promoters and arenas.
Function is the app for everyone else's events.
Ticketmaster, Posh, Eventbrite
- Built for big venues and promoter networks
- Friction every step — long forms, complicated payouts
- Discovery feed = stadium tours, not your car meet
- Service fees stacked on every ticket, before you even start
- Quiet in college towns, neighborhoods, and weeknights
Function
- Anyone can create an event in under two minutes
- Three ticket modes including a simple "count who's coming" mode
- Discovery feed indexes small events by city and tag
- 5.5% + $0.99 on paid tickets only; free events incur no platform fee
- Built for the long tail of community events that other platforms overlook
Pick how you want to host. Switch any time.
Most platforms force hosts into a category and lock them there. Function lets the host decide what kind of event it is — based on what they actually need.
Open RSVP
A live attendee count, nothing else. No ticket, no QR. Attendees tap “going” and the host sees the number update in real time. Run it with unlimited capacity, or set a cap and Function stops RSVPs once it’s full.
Free Ticket
Capped guest list with QR codes. Attendees reserve, hosts scan at the door. Prevents overbooking and unauthorized entry.
Paid Ticket
Stripe-powered checkout with a 5.5% + $0.99 platform fee. Sell multiple ticket types — general, VIP, early bird — each with its own price and cap. Payouts release 24 hours after the event ends.
Public feed.
Private address.
Other platforms either won't list residential events, or they expose home addresses to anyone scrolling the feed. Function defaults residential addresses to private. The event still appears in the feed with neighborhood and city. The full street drops to confirmed RSVPs only, on a host-selected window: 1, 2, 4, 12, or 24 hours before.

Host with confidence.
The platform handles the rest.
From event creation to door scanning to host payout — in under five taps.
Live RSVP count
Track your guest list in real time. Set a cap and Function enforces it automatically — or leave it unlimited when you just want a headcount. No overbooked door.
QR scanner mode
Built-in door scanning from any phone. Camera validates tickets in real time — green check or red X with the exact reason.
Get paid in 24 hours
Stripe Connect, direct deposit. Host payouts release 24 hours after the event ends, once the card funds have settled with Stripe. 5.5% + $0.99 per paid ticket. Never on free events.
Link your socials
Add your Instagram and TikTok to your profile so guests know exactly who they're showing up for. Fully optional — never required, and you enter just your username, not a link.
Reviews and photos you can
actually trust.
Anyone can leave a five-star review on other platforms. On Function, only people who bought a ticket or RSVP'd and got scanned in at the door can review an event or post photos from the night. No bots, no fake ratings, no drive-by hate — just the people who were actually there.
Verified attendees only
The right to review unlocks after check-in. If you weren't scanned in, you can't post — so every rating comes from a real guest.
Photos from the night
Attendees drop their photos straight onto the event page, so the next person sees what it's really like — not just the host's promo shot.
Reputation that's earned
Hosts build a real track record over time. Great events rise; a bad reputation can't be faked away or bought.
Built for community.
Designed for trust.
Three principles guide every decision Function makes — about the product, the platform, and the people who host on it.
Most platforms optimize for arenas and headliners. Function indexes the events that actually shape a city — the meetups, the markets, the kickbacks, the conventions, and the meet-and-greets that other apps treat as afterthoughts.
Residential addresses are gated to confirmed RSVPs. House rules are enforced at checkout. Reports route to a moderation queue that a person reviews by hand. What Function does not do is vet hosts, inspect venues or attend events — every event is run by its host, and you attend at your own risk. The full picture is in our terms.
5.5% + $0.99 on paid tickets. Nothing on free events. Payouts release 24 hours after the event ends, once the card funds have settled. No monthly fees, no listing fees, no surprises in your statement.
What happens next.
No vague "coming soon" — here's the actual plan.
Now — in build
Function is being built now. The feed, ticketing and the door scanner all work today — payments are the last piece before beta.
Fall 2026 — closed beta
A small group of hosts run the first real events, stress-test the door scanner, and shape what Function becomes.
Public launch
Function opens to everyone, anywhere — free events, paid tickets, and open RSVPs from day one.
